The strange thing about life is that easily we can be overwhelmed with the worlds problems. I know I become pessimistic and embody a personality of indifference. This deliberate and clinical indifference is best utilized in the public domain and in my intellectual pursuits. But then I run into others who have not let such things taint their intellectual inquiry. In fact they are informed by the very constructs that have been anhilated in the past ages of modernity and enlightenment. A great example is my new favorite sociologist Margarita Mooney who writes about individuals vs. persons in social science research. Her recent blog post can be found online at http://www.patheos.com/blogs/blackwhiteandgray/2012/08/more-than-individuals-how-personalism-influences-social-theory-and-research/
